Behind The Scenes Shooting for Ray-Ban

We had a brilliant day shooting for Ray-Ban at the beginning of the year, working with Stink Studios and a talented film crew to produce both stills and motion for the brand. Shooting at one of my favourite studios, Alva East was fantastic, as was working with such an energetic and positive team.

We chose our two brilliant models, Esther and Chuck at a casting earlier in the year, and they both stood out with their easy, fun personalities. It was a real joy to photograph them and direct the motion shoots with William Kennedy and assistant director Ato Yankey. David Wright joined as Director of Photography, bringing his incredible lighting skills to the team, along with Shawn White, who has worked on films The Martian and Casino Royale. It was also fantastic to work again with Maddie Austin on makeup, and Simon Izzard on hair.

We had a lot of fun on set, shooting the models in a huge variety of Ray-Ban’s signature eyewear, really trying to tell a story through the model’s eyes and facial expressions.
