About Jack Eames Hair And Beauty Photography
One of the UK’s prominent hair and beauty photographers and video directors, the foundations of Jack Eames’ approach to beauty photography is rooted in the understanding that connection and vibrancy must inform every piece of work.
Jack’s background in photojournalism provides his photography a sense of intimacy and understanding. Similarly, his video work always looks for original methods of building a visual narrative to tell a unique story.
Whilst based at White Rabbit Studios in Shoreditch, London, award winning hair and beauty photographer Jack Eames also works across the UK and internationally for commercial and editorial projects. He places great importance on building long-lasting and authentic relationships with all of his clients, and across his years of experience he has developed a reputation for his excellence, innovation and attention to detail in his beauty photography.
With a career in beauty photography spanning 16 years, Jack has built a vast portfolio of commercial and personal work. As well as guest lecturing on photography for Central Saint Martins, shooting the cover of AoP magazine and working for prominent industry clients such as Wella and Vogue Jack has recently published a book of his personal photo documentary project with UK charity, Haircuts4Homeless who work to provide practical care for those experiencing homelessness.
Jack’s beauty and hair photography work can be defined by its storytelling ability and through its sense of energetic stillness, drawing out the identity of the subject. In addition to commercial shoots, he works collaboratively with stylists and emerging talent to experiment and further develop his editorial and commercial work’s progressive style.
From assistants to retouchers, beauty photographer Jack Eames works with a skilled team of trusted experts with whom he has developed close professional relationships as well as a vibrant and creative synergy - an approach which has led to dynamic, fresh and meaningful imagery and video work.
To date, Jack’s beauty photography work has been published in a number of fashion magazines such as Vogue, LOVE Magazine and Hunger.
Jack’s list of clients encompasses brands such as Balmain, Babyliss Pro, Coca Cola, L’Oreal, Liberty of London, Tangle Teezer, Toni & Guy, Tresemme, Schwarzkopf, Saatchi & Saatchi, Vogue, and Wella.
In 2023 Jack won the Gold and Silver awards for Fashion and Beauty at the Association of Photography Awards.
